Pillow Central is the class for you to learn how to make throw pillows, bolsters, and pillowcases! This project is a great way to personalize your space. You choose if you want to have a zipper or not, stitch a trim around the edges or leave it simple, or add some other design element. Depending on the design details you desire for your project, you may need to enroll in more than one Pillow Central session, but most students will have a finished project by the end of one session. For box cushions and meditation cushions, please ask to be waitlisted in a future class by emailing us at info@lockstitchandlustre.com.

Prerequisite: Intro to Sewing I or comfortable threading a machine and winding a bobbin on your own.

Bring with you to class:
- Pillow form (please no bigger than 24” x 36” as you are sharing space with others)
- Enough fabric to cover your pillow (pre-washed). If you need help figuring out the yardage needed, email info@lockstitchandlustre.com with pillow dimension.
- Coordinating all-purpose thread
- Trim, such as piping and fringe (optional). Do not purchase thick braided trim as it will be too bulky underneath home sewing machine presser feet.
- Zipper, a little longer than longest edge of form (optional)
- Zipper presser feet, invisible foot or regular zipper foot depending on your zipper (optional)
- Fabric scissors
- Paper scissors
- Tape measure

- Fabric marker or chalk
- Thread snips
- Seam ripper
